Our desire for the church is a deep relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. We can no longer live on beautiful projects, grand festivals, or bookshelves full of theology. We no longer desire mere religious practice, but we want to know Him. It is precisely during this period that the deepest question of the heart arises: “what about me and Jesus”? “What do I actually have Him, and Him alone”?
This book, the first of three is about various characteristics of Jesus in the book of Revelation. To get to know Jesus better and to prepare us for the return of the Son. In the first chapters of the Bible book of Revelation, Jesus walks among the seven lampstands. These are the seven congregations that represent the church of all ages. Especially for the church, which is living in the last minutes of the last hour, it is vital that we know Him.
Jesus deserves more than a nominal Church; rather, he deserves passionate followers who desire to change the world around them and understand that heaven’s power and authority can only be released from a deep relationship with Him.
It is so good that you are making the decision to start a new habit; one that will become a new lifestyle for you, causing your prayer life to never be the same again.
So let’s persevere and not give up, and call upon ‘The Holy Spirit’ to keep us motivated and full of desire to come face to face with the ‘Christ of Heaven.’ There is so much more to be revealed, and we are praying that this book will help you on your pathway of discovery.
At the end of each chapter, you will find a reflection by others that we have invited to share their understanding and revelations. Some will be well known to you, and others may not, but the important thing is that they too are on this same journey of discovery.
We believe that two things are very important at this time.
1. Getting to know him better.
2. Rediscovering His original purpose of being the Church and not just going to church.
He is the head (Col 1:18). And we are the body (1 Cor. 12:13). He longs for the cooperation between Him as the head and us as the body, that will demonstrate to the world what a loving, powerful God he is. Together, we can discover and even rediscover those things that will bring us as His Body into complete unity with Him as The Head, and His glory can be revealed to all of creation.
